Unknown Anatomy
This book was inspired by old anatomy drawings found in William Cheselden's book Osteographia, or The anatomy of the bones. I'v always loved anatomical drawings so I really waned to create a fun and unusual project where I could include them.
This book has many unique features including hidden page corners (seen in video at 0:29), moving bones (0:38) and layered acetate pages that create dimensional and changing images (0:47, 1:35, 1:42, and 1:45). There is also a fold out index page with all of the definitions of the bones found within this book (1:17).
What makes this project truly unique is it's binding due to it's acetate pages. Blank pages were left throughout the book to accommodate this, then the book was case bound, the blank pages were cut into tabs, and finally the acetate pages were attached with double sided tape and gold duct tape.
